March Attendance by Kayla Adkins
Lincoln County High School has set a goal to decrease our Chronic Absenteeism this school year by 20%. A student is defined as chronically absent by the West Virginia Department of Education when a student misses more than 10% of the days school has been in session, whether it is excused or unexcused. For example, any student who misses more than 18 days in the 180 day school year is considered chronically absent. We will achieve this goal by increasing our daily attendance. Help us monitor and discuss the importance of school attendance by monitoring our live scoreboard which will be updated daily.
